High-cost claims (HCC) continue to be the largest healthcare cost driver for employers with no end in sight. But what to do about this growing concern?
We invite you to join your fellow Benefits Managers from 8-10 DFW area Municipalities in a special DFWBGH High Cost Claims Learning Collaborative focusing on key HCC drivers and cost-effective management strategies. Our goal is to equip you and your colleagues with knowledge and practical actions to help you address your High Cost Claims head-on and mitigate this growing concern. We strongly encourage all participants to complete this survey for in depth collaboration and analysis.
This HCC Learning Collaborative will take place in July, August & September and will consist of three educational sessions with focused agendas:
1. Session 1 (July 31): Virtual meeting (1.0 hr) to learn more about HHC challenges, drivers, data analysis, management strategies, communications, and prevention (not necessarily in that order);
2. Session 2 (August 15): In-person meeting (2.5 hrs) to discuss participants’ current HCC challenges, drivers, and potential HCC strategies going forward;
3. Session 3 (September 19): Virtual meeting (1 hr) to share learnings, new ideas, potential new strategies, etc., which we can incorporate in our DFWBGH HHC Project Report.
The Sessions will be led by Christine Hale, MD, MBA, SVP, Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Consulting at Lockton Dunning Benefits. Dr. Hale has led similar HCC Learning Collaboratives at other Coalitions, including twice at National Alliance of HealthCare Purchasing Coalitions.
If you would like to participate, please contact Diana Morrison at morrison@dfwbgh.org to get signed up.
