Digital Healthcare Challenges and Opportunities

Speakers:

COVID greatly accelerated the development and use of digital healthcare tools.  Digital health apps range from providing a platform for services, such as virtual doctor appointments and chronic-disease management, to consumer health apps that help people manage their own health.  While employers embrace the potential value of these new technologies to enhance healthcare delivery, there can be confusion regarding how to select these technologies, as well as what results to expect.

This session will provide insight on how digital technologies are transforming delivery by traditional and non-traditional healthcare providers and help in knowing which digital programs to choose, as well as what to expect in terms of cost reduction and value to your employees.

Prioritizing Mental Health and Well-Being in the New Normal Workplace

Speakers:

Employee mental health has taken center stage as one of the top priorities at nearly all US companies, as a result of the pandemic.  Fear, stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout have increased dramatically among employees.  In this session, you will learn how some employers are tackling these challenges by adding and expanding mental health and wellbeing benefits to support employees as they adjust to the “new normal” workplace, whether onsite or remote.

Mitigating the Impact of Delayed Cancer Care on Employee Health & Healthcare Costs

Speakers:

Cancer screenings and treatment saw a sharp decline during the COVID pandemic.  The delays and disruptions in cancer screenings and care delivery, coupled with fear and avoidance by those at risk for cancer, will likely lead to greater severity, more complications, worse outcomes, and higher healthcare costs.  In this session, we will discuss the impact of delayed cancer screenings and treatment during COVID and employer strategies to mitigate the fallout on employees’ health and healthcare costs.
